How to update Firmware on Sony NEX-5R camera to version 1.03 from 1.00

this video will help you how to update your NEX 5R camera to the newest firmware.
 on Sony NEX 5R Camera to version 1.03 from 1.00.
 By updating your NEX with the newest firmaware you will add the following features to your NEX 

Provides support for the following Fast Hybrid AF compliant and future compatible E mount lenses:
SELP18105G, SEL35F28Z, SEL55F18Z, SEL2470Z, SEL2870, SEL70200G
Note:For the following lenses, the Fast Hybrid AF is effective only in the central area of the frame.
SEL35F28Z, SEL55F18Z, SEL2470Z, SEL2870, SEL70200G
Provides support for the SEL20F28 and SEL1670Z Fast Hybrid AF compliant lenses
Adds the AF drive system for movies
Note:The AF drive system for movies is added in order to enhance the scalability of future E-mount systems.
Provides support for the following Fast Hybrid AF compliant lenses:
SEL1018, SEL35F18, SELP18200, SEL30M35, SEL50F18, SEL18200LE
Note:When using the SEL30M35, SEL50F18, and SEL18200LE lenses,
 please update the lens firmware to the latest available version.

Confirm the firmware version of your camera

Follow the instructions
If the firmware version is Ver.1.03 or later, the update is not required.

Select Menu--) Setup--) Versionon the camera.
The firmware version is displayed as illustrated below.

Note:Please close all other application software before updating the firmware.
Power source for the camera
Fully charged rechargeable battery pack NP-FW50
USB cable supplied with the camera

Download

Do not remove the battery during the update;otherwise,
 the camera may become inoperable due to the sudden power shutdown.
Remove the memory card from the camera beforehand.

Download the Firmware Updater
Make sure that you are logged on as a user with administrative rights.
After reading the disclaimer, click the [Download] button below.
The download of the [Update_NEX5RV103.exe] file (179 MB (188.231.768 bytes)) will start.
Save the file on your computer.

Install
Close all currently running programs on your computer.
Double-click the [Update_NEX5RV103.exe] file you downloaded to start up the Firmware Updater.
 The Firmware Updater window will appear.

According to the instruction on the Firmware Updater window, select Menu--) Setup--)
 USB Connectionon the camera, and check if Mass Storageis selected.
If another mode than Mass Storageis selected, please select Mass Storage.

Connect the camera to the computer with the supplied USB cable, the LCD screen of the camera will turn off.
 Please proceed to the next step.

Click Nexton the Firmware Updater window. In the computer screen the following window will appear:

At the same time the message "Follow computer instructions" will appear on the LCD screen of the camera.
 -From this point don't turn off the camera until the firmware update is completed.
Click Next. 
The current version and the version after the update appear on the lower left part of the Firmware Updater .

Click Nexton the Firmware Updater window.
After resetting, the reconnection of the camera is verified, and the following window appears:

Click Runto start the update. The progress bar will appear while updating (approximately for 15 minutes).
 -don't turn off the camera nor disconnect the USB cable while updating.
When the update is completed, the following window will appear. 
Click Finishand disconnect the USB cable.
Note: after clicking [Finish], be sure to wait for the camera to turn on again
 although there may be cases that it takes a few minutes.

Turn off the camera, remove the battery pack and/or the AC adapter,
 reinsert the battery or reconnect the AC adapter and turn on the camera.
Confirm the firmware version of your camera is Ver 1.03.
On the camera select Menu--) Setup--) Version.
The firmware version is displayed as illustrated below.
